Privacy policy

Privacy is really important for the both of us. I don’t want you poking around in my stuff as much as you don’t want me snooping on you. Honestly, if you enjoy my content, that’s enough for me — I don’t need to know your life story.

This isn’t enough to keep the lawyer’s happy though, so I am required to spell it out explicitly for you. It’s all fun and games until the lawyers get involved, right?

Consent

By accessing and using this website, you consent and agree to this privacy policy. That’s the lawyer’s way of saying this policy applies implicitly without you having to sign something.

Information security

Since I enjoy privacy as much as you clearly do if you’re reading this document, it’s worth pointing out that this humble website is protected with TLS encryption – this means nobody can see what you are reading or what pages on this website you are browsing. Your secret is safe with me!

Information collected

I don’t have the time or the interest to do anything with any data I could possibly collect, so I don’t collect anything that could identify you personally.

The hosting company I use for this website collects some basic logging information, which includes your IP address, the URL you accessed, and the time you accessed it. These logs are only kept for up to a week, and beyond your IP address there is nothing identifiable provided in those logs. These logs are collected to make sure this website is working correctly, isn’t used actively for analytics, and is only referred to when there are problems with the website.

Since this website doesn’t collect any personally identifiable information, this means there is no information stored over a short or long period of time that could infringe on your privacy, nor that of the privacy of children who might stumble across this website.

Obviously if you contact me directly, then I will have your contact details, but I promise I’ll only use any personal information you give to me to be able to respond to your request.

Third party privacy policies

If you click on one of the videos or sound files, they are played via YouTube, and your privacy may be impacted. For more information, you should check out YouTube’s privacy policy. This only occurs if you activate one of these media, and nothing is transmitted to YouTube until you explicitly activate media through your actions.

Cookies

I don’t use cookies. I actually prefer cake to cookies, but web browsers don’t support cakes, they only support cookies. I’m not interested in tracking you with cookies, so I don’t, and even if I could track you with cakes I wouldn’t.
